Viking Island        Here you will find Viking Island, a small fly in lodge dedicated to fishing. It takes a short flight by float plane to reach Douglas Lake from Red Lake.  Walleye, Northern, and Lake Trout fishing is excellent here. The lakes are deep, but not huge, and closely connected with plenty of bays, the perfect setting for a relaxed fishing trip, nine portage lakes for adventure. Douglas is the main lake within a group of deep, small, productive lakes. Onnie, Spider, Peterson, Page, Frank's, Hatchet, Caribou, Embryo, Anchor, and Foley Lakes are all within reach. At Viking Island we provide many staple grocery items in your cabin, but you do need to bring your own fresh groceries. Cabins equipped with lights, wood stove, fridge, stove, sheets, blankets and towels, running water, inside toilets and showers.   Map & Directions
