Camp Champdore    Welcome to Champdoré Fishing Camp, located on Lac Champdoré, the headwaters of the Whale River (Rivière Baleine). By floatplane we are 90 miles northeast of Schefferville, Québec. Champdoré is unquestionably one of the world's greatest fly-fishing and shallow-water angling areas. We are blessed with both large and abundant fish, as well as the sheer variety of fish, i.e., Lake Trout, Brook Trout, Ouananiche (landlocked Atlantic Salmon) and Northern Pike. While our new accommodations are quite comfortable, by its very nature this can be a very rough environment. This will never be a luxurious lodge, or a bug-free environment, and we wouldn’t want it to be.  Map & Directions
