Lake Despair Lodge     Lake Despair Lodge is nestled in the heart of Ontario's Sunset country, 30 miles Northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada. We have excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, perch and lake trout. Lake Despair Lodge is situated on a chain of three lakes. From Lake Despair through Mile River into Footprint Lake then through the picturesque Jackfish Narrows into Jackfish Lake. All this is easily accessible by boat. There are also numerous portage lakes if you wish to try. Rainy Lake is only two minutes away. The Clearwater and Pipestone chain of lakes are also accessible without ever getting out of your boat by the mechanical portage. Lake Despair lodge has eight, fully equipped cabins. Each includes coffee makers, toaster, microwave oven, all pots and pans and dishes.   Map & Directions
