Lunge Lodge The waters of the Upper French River have long been known for their abundance of giant muskellunge, the king of freshwater fish. The waters of the region abound with muskie, northern pike, walleye, small and large mouth bass and plenty of delicious panfish. Fishing conditions are excellent from the season's opening and continue on through the fall. In late May, fishermen can enjoy outstanding fishing, although they should be prepared for black flies and mosquitoes. Visitors can explore the river and its many bays and our guides can point you to their favorite "honey holes". Backwater Adventure, for the adventurous outdoorsman, Lunge Lodge offers its exciting BACKWATER ADVENTURE. Our guides will show you remote lakes that are only accessible by canoe portage.
