Besnard Lake Lodge Travel by road or air to Besnard Lake Lodge, one of the finest fishing lodges in Northern Saskatchewan Canada. Our cabins are fully modern, overlooking the lake and equipped with bathrooms, propane stoves, fridges, cooking utensils, bedding and nearby showerhouse. Besnard Lake is known as the "Lake of Many Islands" - more than 250. There are 188 miles of shoreline, excluding island shores. The lake is fed by the Mercier River. Here the Great Canadian Shield cuts through the lake and the waters flow to the north and east to form part of the Churchill River System. Fish for Northern Pike and Walleye (Pickerel).
