Lake Athabasca Lodge Lake Athabasca is located near the 60th parallel, spanning the Alberta and Saskatchewan borders. Our lodge is located on Grouse Island near the north shore of the lake. Our location is considered by most as the best spot on the lake to catch the most fish per day. This relativley untouched fresh water lake is famous for its Arctic Grayling, Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Walleye. To reach our lodge, guests fly to Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta, then connect by jet to Fort McMurray, Alberta or Fort Vermilion, Alberta. A caravan flight of an hour and a half is the last leg of your trip. We pick you up at the air strip for the 3 mile boat ride to the lodge. Map & Directions
